Susan Stanton
Susan Stanton, the founder of the Southern Appalachian Photographers Guild, is a professional fine art photographer. She has spent years traveling and photographing the beauty and rustic charm of the Southern Appalachians. Her work has appeared on the covers and in the content of numerous magazines including Our State Magazine, Blue Ridge Country Magazine, and Carolina Arts Magazine. As a fine art photographer, Susan’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibits and galleries throughout the state. As an environmentalist, Susan has donated her time and images to groups such as Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Friends of the Smokies, and the National Parks Conservation Association. Her works can be found in private collections world-wide.

Bill Lea
Bill Lea is a professional nature photographer who is best known for his artistic documentation of deer and bear behavior, the various moods of the Great Smoky Mountains and southern ecosystems. He has taught photo workshops at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont since 1992. More than 6,000 of Bill’s images have appeared in books, brochures, calendars, magazines and other publications. His books include Great Smoky Mountains Wildlife Portfolio, Cades Cove – Window to a Secret World, and Great Smoky Mountains Wonder and Light.

Kevin Adams
Kevin Adams is a naturalist, writer, teacher and photographer for over 25 years. He teaches photography to others through photo tours, nature photography workshops and seminars. In addition to nature photography instruction and stock photography, Kevin works in the advertising and commercial photography market. He is the author of nine books, including the bestselling North Carolina Waterfalls. He writes magazine articles and his photographs appear regularly in books, magazines, calendars and advertisements across the country.

Nancy Rotenberg
Nancy Rotenberg was a freelance photographer/writer/speaker. Her images and editorials have appeared in magazines such Adirondack Life, Birds & Blooms, Country Gardens, National Geographic, Nature’s Best, Peterson’s Photographic, Outdoor Photographer, and The World & I. Nancy’s work can also be found on Hallmark, Red Oak, Reiman Publications, Renaissance, and Sunrise greeting cards, as well as in calendars such as Mitsubishi, Nikon, Inner Reflections, Reiman Publications, Teldon and Willow Creek Press. Nancy’s last and much anticipated book, Photography and The Creative Life was released in July of 2006. Nancy was also the co-author of two other books: Close-Up Photography…Capturing Nature’s Intimate Landscapes, How To Photograph Close-Ups In Nature, and La Luz del Pueblo - Discovering a Sense of Place. Her goal was to inspire. She taught her students to let go of their convential ways, and to trust. She encouraged them to look at their subjects in a way that they hadn't before, and to find beauty in the ordinary. And with so much ordinary to find beauty in, she cautioned, "We must remember to slow down - to take little bites - to savor the pleasure while findig ways to meet the cravings." Although she is no longer with us, her photographs will forever remain.

William A. Smith
William A. Smith is a graduate from Duke University with a degree in history. He has been involved in photography for over 50 years and is primarily a large and medium format photographer. He is a fine art photographer and specializes in black and white photography. He has studied with renowned professionals such as Fred Picker at his Zone VI workshop, Tom McCartney , and John Sexton through various classes and workshops. Bill’s work is included in private and corporate collections throughout the country.

Donna Eaton
Donna Eaton is a professional photographer and NC native whose passion is seeing with her heart through her camera and sharing it with others. Donna is a winner in Nature's Best Magazine's Windland Smith Rice International Awards as well as being a guest writer on the Nature's Best Blog. She was awarded an honorable mention in the National Wildlife Refuge Association's annual photography competition and had an image chosen for "Be Seen in DC exhibit at the Washington School of Photography gallery in Rockville, MD". She is a regular contributor to Our State Magazine. Publishing credits include the National Wildlife Federation, NC Wildlife, American Greetings, USAirways, Expressions Magazine, Trip Magazine, Hold, Rinehart and Winston, & Popular Photography. Donna has been a learder for NANPA Regional Events and is an instructor at John C. Campbell Folk School and The Perfect Picture School of Photography. Her work is represented by Fogstock and Getty Images. Memberships include NANPA, CNPA, PPA and PSA.
